Restoring a locomotive

This project is to restore an old battery electric locomotive to working condition . i will also learn new skills on the way aswell as purchase all new parts for the loco so it will run well and reliably. this loco is part of our heritage and should be restored instead of left, forgotten and rusting in all weathers your funding will go into keeping part of our heritage alive instead of sending it to the scrap heap  by pledging money to this cause you will have helped preserve a part of our heritage for decades to come.

once the locomotive is restored i will take the locomotive to other heritage lines around the contry to demonstrate how the loco once worked in an environment similar to that of which it used to work. 

the money raised will be spent on new parts and sourcing old parts and the batteries 

(update) a new motor has been sourced and a control panel purchased this project still has a long way to go and needs funding to ocntinue 

My dream is to make this locomotive how she used to be and i cant do that without your help so please donate what you can

 this project is not only my life dream but also in tribute to one of the greatest men i knew who recently passed away the locomotive will be named after him "Steve Glover" a railway enthusiast and good friend and teacher 

 if this project is not funded then the locomotive may have to go to scrap and be lost forever it is  important to The vally it worked in and the people of th dale. please help save this part of our heritage so please donate as much as you can
