Campaign Story
Most of you invited to contribute will know me, Daphne and our kids Gabriel, Caleb & Yael.
In the current senseless crime and looting n our beloved KZN, South Africa, we unfortunately lost everything that we owned, except the literal clothes on our back.
The loss is immense, as when I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING !!!
We were in the process of moving to a small holding and everything we own was temporarily in storage, that is clothes, furniture, bikes, sports kit, camping gear, jewelry, gifts, memory boxes, awards, certificates, documents etc.
These were all looted, destroyed or burnt and nothing was salvageable, not even a photo..
To help you understand, take a walk into any room in your house, have a look around....Then open every draw...…Then open every cupboard...….Everything you see GONE !!!
Now go to the next room, then the next, then the bathroom, then the garage, then the tool shed, then the attic, then the basement. GONE
You get the picture?
The violence and looting is still ongoing, but we are already looking ahead.
As a family one of our core values is that if anything is intended for pain, harm, destruction, it must be redeemed for Good, Hope and Joy...
We have also realized that many we know are in similar situations and we are all in this together..
Originally some friends asked me to set something like this up, so that they could assist us, Thanks
Our desire is to go over and beyond this and help many other too.
Why don't we just start a movement?
Lets take what was stolen and restore to BETTER THAN BEFORE

The last time we got into our units, I posted a picture of us attempting to salvage some items from the "ashes", that was unit 260. Unit 270 was. . . . .

The move is back to a property that we have owned for a number of years, and. . . . .

When the last funds from PayPal clear and we add the contributions that were made outside of the "Fund", we got very close. . . . .

Nothing negative, just the enormity of the amount of work, organizing and planning that lies ahead for us as a family, has me in unnecessary, over-planning mode. At least I'm being productive. . . . .
The need to be normal is fighting back

Of course it did, the evidence is everywhere, but normal life is fighting back very, very hard.....So it was back to work for me, Daph is keeping her Bootcamp closed until the end of the month,. . . . .

We had no idea how to set something like this up; or whether anyone would support it.....Its been crazy, including off-line donations, over 60 people have contributed so far from what seems to be 11 nations and there has. . . . .
