Lucas came to STAR from terrible conditions at a puppy mill. Despite being underfed, undersocialized, and denied love and medical care from birth, he is still a loving, happy young dog.
Lucas is blind and in need of dental treatment and medical care. Now that he is safe in a STAR foster home his weight is up and he has seen his vet. According to his doctor, Lucas is a perfect candidate for cataract surgery, which will restore his sight completely. STAR is working with local veterinarians to get him this surgery, run necessary blood tests, and clean his teeth and treat his dental infections. As a nonprofit organization, STAR needs your assistance to cover the cost of bringing Lucas the health and life he deserves.
