The magical rumble of a 1960s V8 is like music to my ears. The absolute simplicity of old american muscle cars have always fascinated me. To me, they resemble a lifestyle and an attitude to life. Sadly, the centerpiece, the powerhouse, the very essence of this american car, has lost its former glory - a glory that I want to restore. If any of you have ever owned older american cars with big V8s, I am sure you can remember the joy it brought to your heart every time you turned it on and you can also imagine the misery of it not wanting to start, not running smoothly and just feeling tired. The engine has endured much wear and tear over its 47 year life span - wear and tear that needs to be addressed. In order to reinstate the engine to its former condition, it needs to be completely rebuilt - a very costly but necessary endeavor. It has been a lifelong dream for me to restore and bring old cars back to their former magnificence and I really hope that you can help me fulfill my dream. If I have the great fortune of being able to do this over the summer, I will of course keep posting updates on how the engine rebuild is going and I will be happy to send old engine parts to donors as a token of my, and the car's, appreciation.
