Restaurant La Famiglia

Hello everyone. We are a young family, with a 5 yo daughter, and at the begging of this year, we managed to finally have our own small business. It is a small family business, a small restaurant in the bavarian mountains, in a small, beautiful and queit town. We prepare and serve italian dishes and drinks, and ofcourse, local german beer. After almost 6 months we started to have problems. Here is the entire story:

We started everything as a family business, one of our family member had alot of experience in this field, and we trusted him, from head to toes. We did everything as he desired, considering that his experience worth the investment. After a short while we noticed that he wants more and more income. The business was running great, with an explosive start. He took care of everything, inlcuding the food orders, delivery and service. My wife told me after this short period of time (about 2 months) that there must be something wrong : we order to much, and the income is almost not there. I know that every start is hard, alot of work, with almost no income. But in this case it was too much. After a short search through all the papers and orders, we noticed and found that this family member was stealing a big part of the merchandise, and maybe sold it for lower prices to other resellers or restaurants, we believe. We couldnt prove what he did, thats why we couldnt take any legal action. He told us that the merchandise is missing because it was expired and it was thrown in the garbage. But that was impossible, i was taking care of the garbage, every evening, i would have noticed such a big amount of garbage (we are talking about tens of kilograms of merchandise). He even threatened us that he will leave in the next day, if we dont do as he desire, he considered that we are not able to run this bussines on our own, and he kept us busy and working, hoping we wont observe everything. But he was wrong, we have enough experience to run this business.He did this in purpose, lowering the income as much as possible, in order to make us leave the business, considering that we dont have much experience.Thats why, our business accumulated debts, slowly but precise.

We managed to kick him out after a few days, being afraid of what happens next. The debt was growing every month, especially during the dead times of the spring and summer.

We applied for several bank credits, with no succes, just because the gastro enviorment is highly risky for any bank, especially a fresh one, with no credibility

And here we are, a young couple, fighting to keep this bussines alive, struggling to lower the debts every month. We have high qualified personal, and they know the entire story, they even helped us to get rid of the thief. They also worked for a short period of time without getting paid, they told us that they want to help, they understand and they love us. Highly qualified personal is very hard to find, loyalty is even harder to find. We consider them part of our familly now.

The restaurant wroks great, with increasing sales, but its still not enough to make it fully functional. the previous debts are killing it. The restaurant is located in the central area of the city, its the only restaurant located right in the center of the city. We offer italian food, based on riginal and tradition recipes.Me and my wife, we worked hard in the last 10 years, saving money for such a small bussines, and now we are in danger of losing everything just because someone tried to make us leave, and leave him our business, built with our savings.

We work here every day, about 14 hours a day, my wife is working almost as 3 people, me either. above all this, we manage to take care of our daughter and laugh with her, even if behind our smile there is a huge and heavy rock on our back.
