Wow!  So it just dawned on me - I am a single mom that has struggled to raise a teenager and keep up with my education while doing enough work to at least keep up with having a nice place for her to live.  Not much time for fun, well outside of her at least!  And NOW I'm embarking on a journey to complete this education all the way to the PhD.  However, the school I chose that most effectively matches their courses to my career goals requires students to attend three colloquium before they can even start their dissertation.  These colloquium are charged separate from tuition and they are not covered by financial aid. Fees include the costs of the colloquium itself, room and board while attending the colloquium, and the fees for traveling to and from the site of the! I have set up this site for others to assist a single mother in obtaining her PhD.

The journey has not been easy.  When I started in college I was married.  Unfortunately, the man is a very nice man to everyone outside of his family, but he has had a very shaky background with parenting role models that had addictions and were either neglectful to the kids or downright abusive.  He does not know how to handle a family and so he does what he's seen as a kid.  We had to get a divorce for the health of the child.  I have had to work part-time jobs, two at a time, full time jobs with overtime, and even contract jobs to keep up with the money.

However, in order that finances couldn't determine my ability to obtain an education as a single mother in the midst of religious scrutiny, I had to not touch a dime of anything except to pay the bills because there were times of no work.  I had to sometimes take advantage of establishments like the YMCA and local rec center for my daughter and I so that we didn't have to actually live in our home because of some of the neighborhoods I had to use to survive in.  It's been a rough road. If I wasn't making it a rough road, those around me were doing what they could to insult me, demean me and make my life miserable because of my status.  With all of the sacrifices that I've had to make to get where I am at, I don't want to have to let it all go now.  I don't want those sacrifices to be for nothing.  If they turn out for nothing it'll feel like they were for the purpose of oppression or enslavement, instead I want to know they were to ensure real success.

Instead, I want to use my education to help free women from stereotypes.  To show women that they can achieve major successes without giving up the gifts that were given to them as women.  To let women know that they aren't property, but human beings with a purpose and that purpose can go as far as they want.   With that being said, I hope to compel you all to donate to my cause today so that I am able to graduate.  When I graduate, I plan to keep this site up to start a scholarship charity for other women that want to advance their education and have a purpose in their life they wish to fulfill. To also set up a program to education women on how to be leaders, how to be self-sufficient, but also how to be assertive and still be a woman living in a beautiful cohesion with their husband.

Research has proven over and over that when women are in balance with men, even in positions of intelligence and positions of power, the economy favors the situations and thanks them.  It's because both have different perspectives, and when those perspectives combine it makes for a much more successful outcome.  In this regards, women should have every opportunity to succeed.  Please offer your donation today and help this cause.

Kindest regards,

Bonnie Aylor
