Researching Cholera In Medieval Italy

fieldschoolpozzeveri.org/about.html  I am an RN who is transitioning to Bioarchaeology.  I am crowd funding for airfare to Italy (San Diego, California to Pisa, Italy).  The field school in Pozzeveri, Italy (In conjunction with Ohio State University and University of Pisa) has agreed to have me pay the supplemental fees only (which I have paid) in return I will provide nursing first aid duties and tutoring archaeology students in anatomy and physiology and pathophysiology.  I was studying cancer in antiquity in 2013 when I was diagnosed with cancer.  My interest in paleo oncology was spurred by my cancer and helping to find a cure for cancer by studying cancer in the past.  This a great opportunity since I will be studying with Dr. Gino Forniciari, M.D. who is an archaeologist and paleopathologist, as well as, Dr. Clark Spencer Larsen, of Ohio State University.  I hope to apply to Graduate School in 2016 with an emphasis in paleo oncology.  Thank you!!
