Hello, everyone. A good day to everyone. Recently, as part of my graduate school requirement, I wrote a paper entitled, "Lived Experiences of Non-Language Major Journalists. The objectives of this study include exploring the experience of pre-service teacher campus journalists who are not majoring in English or Filipino language teaching and how it impacts their writing, communication, pedagogical, and other personal skills.

At the encouragement of my professors and the university where I am teaching, I submitted the said paper to International Free Linguistic Conference. I never really expected for it to get accepted, but God works in mysterious ways indeed as just this May 13, 2019, I received from the Universidade Federal da Paralba (UFPB) this letter of acceptance for the 13th International Free Linguistic Conference to be held on September 30-October 4, 2019.

Established in 2007 as an international conference, the Free Linguistics Conference (FLC) Group now offers consultancy and language center accreditation.

FLC is a free-to-attend international annual conference that brings language specialists in all areas of research to share their diverse perspectives and practices. FLC is a conference for everyone.

To be part of this program will mean to represent the country as well as the university in the field of linguistics. The result of this will benefit the students who will embark into campus journalism and leadership, preparing them on what to expect from such experiences and what they could gain from it. This will aslo help campus paper advisers as well as language teachers see, prepare and develop strategies to improve their students’ skills especially in writing and composition.

Students who are not into campus journalism will also benefit from the results of the study if the results revealed will also be taken into consideration by language teachers and supervisors. This may improve their communication and writing skills which they basically need in whatever profession they will have in the future. This may help the country’s current problem in the English performance of the Filipino college graduates.

Joining the aforementioned program, however, would entail, among other things, a roundtrip flight from the Philippines to Brazil, and vice versa. On top of that this will also include expenses on accommodation during the five-day conference.

Because of this, I would like to knock on your willing and kind hearts to support me, especially financially, in this endeavor. As of this posting, the following are the expected expenses:

Registration fee for the conference: Free

Airfare: Iloilo-Manila vv - P6,380.00

Manila-Sao Paolo vv - P135,000.00

Sao Paulo-Paraiba vv - P7,500

Accommodation - P12,000

I am assuring that I will do my utmost to learn and collaborate and also to share with other international participants our own linguistic situation in the Philippines and the language research culture.

Thank you very much for your positive response. More blessings may come your way!

Yours truly,
