Research and Publication of a Book for Dog Owners

As a survivor of domestic abuse, I have always found great comfort in my canine companions. My “fur babies” have stood by my side through thick and thin. Out of my passion for protecting the health and vitality of my best friends, I have written a book guiding others on how to help their dogs achieve optimal health -- especially when trained professionals aren’t easily accessible.

“A Holistic Approach to Dog Health: When Your Dog's First Line of Defense is You” is a research study of what pet owners can do in case a vet is not around or when a pet owner can't afford to hire a professional. The book provides an overview of dog diseases and how pet owners can prevent them. One example is distemper, a deadly disease we’ve spend a great deal of time researching.The ultimate goal of the book is to drive home the point that a dog’s life is always worth saving.

The book has been published, but I am writing volume 2 of my book to add more uncommon diseases and more food that dogs need. There will be more further studies and will also be focusing on distemper and rabies as I just got bitten by a rabied puppy from our neighbor and how me and my dogs battled with the infection.

I aim to raise $$$ to cover the cost of publication of my 2nd book and fundraising to setup a rescue center for dogs. I'll be making part of my funds to setup a rescue center for dogs, which I will personally head and care for.
