Dear animal lovers,

I need your help to fund a rescue mission to save 32 dogs who I found in terrible neglect on the streets of Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. The dogs were starving in trash cans, thrown out next to highways, and completely abandoned as puppies. The catastrophic conditions that these dogs have been through cannot even be described.

I did everything I could to raise the street dogs and spent a lot of time and energy and financial resources to ensure that they are healthy and supported. However, this came at the cost of me losing my job and created high uncertainty and enormous financial stress. Leaving the dogs in Georgia behind would be very difficult to do as I have developed a strong bond with them and there are no shelters in Tbilisi willing to house them. In order for them to have a good future , they need to be rescued and transfered abroad.

Currently the dogs are living in a rented barn and unfortunately the lease ends on March 31st. A new law begin in January 2023 that states that only 5 dogs are allowed per property. Therefore finding another rental will not be possible. This is why the dogs must leave Georgia by the end of March. If they do not fly, they most likely will end up in the streets again and suffer from starvation and a lack of shelter.

Your support will make a huge difference for these dogs. By helping them, you are not only saving their lives, but also making a positive impact on the communities where they will be adopted. These dogs could be given a second chance at life and they deserve to be a part of this rescue mission.

I had all of the dogs receive pet passports and get sterilized, but I need your support to provide them with food, dog crates, airfare, quarantine fees, and boarding fees for South Africa and Canada.

1. Food:

  • The dogs eat one bag of 20kg of dog food per day and this equates to $30 per day.
  • Small dog food and cans amount to about $22 per day.

2. Crates:

  • Type 3 - $120 and we need 5 crates
  • Type 4- $240 and we need 12 crates
  • Type 7- $300 and we need 16 crates

3. Medical Supplies:

Quarantine fees and medical testing is $200 per dog.

4. Ticket:

The export testing is sponsored through Dog of Georgia Organisation and American ASPCA, and the sterilization and vaccines were donated by Mayhew International. I am grateful to have the support of Qatar Airways who will fly the rescue mission at a discounted price. However, I still need to raise $40,000 USD to reach our goal and send the dogs within the next month.

Once the dogs reach South Africa , they will be in the care of the Dogs Hope Foundation and housed at the Richards Bay SPCA upon their arrival after finishing state quarantine. Finally, they will find their forever homes that they so deserve.

Dogs travelling to Canada will go directly to their caregivers.

Now they have a chance for a new life in South Africa and Canada.

Please help us to make this rescue mission a success. Your donation will make a real difference in the lives of these dogs. Thank you for your support!
