Rescue Me: The Movie

We want to make our Rescue Me film... We have tried several times to pitch our film to a big Hollywood studio. Working with studios is important to get film funded but it comes with a lot of give on our part, which could take away the integrity of the story as well. We wanted to avoid all that and make the best possible movie we can while staying true to the story we have written.

Luckily, we found the nice people at GoGetFunding (applause) which have brought us one step closer to being able to create and deliver this amazing project to our current and future fans by giving us the ability to have our project funded.

Because we’re making a smaller movie without a big studio playing big brother and undermining every step we take, we can finish it for fraction of the cost, in a lot less time which will also give us the ability to get the final product out to our fans a lot quicker.

The screenplay is based on a story written by Gerard Lima.

What we are doing

The easiest way to answer that is by saying, we are raising money for our film. We are making this film with the help and assistance of people who support and wish to see the final product. We are hoping to raise $50,000 and hopefully more in time to have this film in post-production by the end of 2013 early 2014 in order to be able to start entering it into different Film Festivals.

Why we are doing it

We are just a couple of friend who decided to take a chance and hoping to realize our dreams. We know this is possible. Most importantly, we know that we have an amazing story and this is going to be an incredible film. We considered several ways to finance this project but then we started to think … investors back out, we would be forced to put the film on hold, then I had people tell me; “Banks and nobody else, we will fund this movie since you are not a big name Hollywood writer or producer.” That is why we as will you join us and help us make this film happen?

About the Story

This film follows a Alex Campbell a FBI agent as he searches for his kidnapped daughter Robyn. 

“Rescue Me” is action-drama along the lines of movies such as “Ransom” and “Taken.”

It begins with the Director of the FBI Alex enjoining a night out with his family, at the end of the night he drops his daughter Robyn at the movies with a group of her friends. Later that same night as Robyn makes her way home she gets kidnapped.

Alex and Tess his wife become aware of the kidnapping the next morning when Robyn is not home. After receiving a call for ransom, Alex leads a group of agents on the search for his daughter.

The body of a teenage girl about the same size as Robyn is found during the rescue mission, which causes Alex to assume it is his daughter.

Believing his daughter was killed Alex begins searching for motive and a possible suspect. Once he receives the autopsy report he learns that his protégé Kyle was one of the kidnappers who kidnapped Robyn; which causes Alex not only to start wondering who else in the FBI could have been involved as well, which also causes him to make Kyle lead him to where Robyn was originally taken.

As the days goes by Alex follows on leads not only does he discovers who all was involved in the kidnapping he also discovers Robyn alive.
