A series of unfortunate events has depleted our "emergency reserves" resulting in us being behind in paying vet bills and purchasing some badly needed supplies (sanitizer, paper towels, etc.).
--The Rescue Van broke down needing repair to the tune of $600 (electrical components)
--The Rescue Van door broke and required repair. To repair it fully would have been $3K, but we opted to make the door manual rather than automatic, so it "only" cost $1500
--One air conditioning unit konked out requiring emergency repair for $250
--The second air conditioning unit flat out died and required replacement ($6K)
--The air handler backed up and repairs cost $180.
--Now the 3rd air conditioning is down and I can't even call the service man to diagnose it because it will be $100 just to send him out
--They dryer overheated and started smoking. Fortunately I was home (NEVER run a dryer when you aren't at home--they are the number one cause of house fires!) and threw the circuit breaker off. A plumber and an electrician later, to the tune of $600, the near-fire was due to a plumbing leak inside the wall. The wall itself still needs to be repaired (think big wet hole due to leak) AND the dryer repairman still needs to come and inspect the dryer to determine if it's safe or needs to be replaced.
--We are now spending $25 a day at the laundromat (and 2-3 hours!)...
Fortunately we have extraordinary donors whose generosity has allowed us to keep rolling with these punches...but we are now, officially, in the red and owe our vets.
Please help us to get out of the hole and keep on rolling to save the lives of these precious animals who call the Manor home as they prepare for their happy-ever-after! Without your help, we simply can not continue to help dogs and cats in need :( Your donations are tax-exempt per 501c3 regulations.
Thank you for your support!
