Requesting funding to attend HPAIR at Harvard University, USA.

My name is Basant Hatem Omar Hussein Amin Abdalla, 21 years old. I am a Political Science student, Final year at The British University in Egypt (upper second class honors degree, 2:1). There is an international conference held by Harvard University in the USA, and I have been selected to take part in this conference by Harvard Project for Asian and International Relations (HPAIR). HPAIR is the most important, prestigious annual conference held at Harvard University. To be held from 14th to 17th February at Harvard. During this 4 days program, I will have the opportunity to meet prominent academics and veteran politicians with experts in my field of International relations and Governance & Geo-politics. Also, I have the chance to speak at HPAIRx (Similar to TEDx) for 15 minutes, to mention my story of success.

An examination followed by an interview was held by HPAIR, a month ago. Among the thousands of students who been examined worldwide, I was privileged to be selected. The total number of participants is only 300. I see this as a lifetime opportunity where I will get an exposure to different ideologies and views in the field of IR and Geo-politics. This will certainly be of interest to me, especially since my dissertation falls under international relations and geopolitics. And I found this as an opportunity to conduct interviews with neutral experts in the field of International Relations regarding my thesis ( Energy and Power Conflict in the Mediterranean). Also, this opportunity will wide my theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Governance & Geo-politics.

This conference will be held in the period 14th – 17th February 2020, and I would really appreciate if you can help me by sponsoring my tuition fees, which comes around USD 1750, including flight ticket, accommodation, and Visa and registration fees. I am requesting potential sponsors to help me with my goal. After my return from the conference in February, I am planning to hold a small event to thank my sponsors and share my experiences with them. Moreover, I am willing to represent my country Egypt at this prestigious conference. I will also give special thanks to my sponsors during my speech at HPAIRx.
