Request for support to present my research in the 11th international conference “Air Quality: Science and Application”

I have completed second MSc in Environmental Science from Stockholm University, Sweden. I have conducted a research titled “Evaluation and comparison of continuous BC and NO_X measurements in three Swedish cities (Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö) in relation to sources and temporal Variability” as a part of my Masters program. My research was selected to present with a prestigious scientific conference titled "Air Quality: Science and Application" (http://www.airqualityconference.org/) to be held in Barcelona in March this year.

While conducting research, I observed that air quality in urban areas in Sweden is improving from year to year. However, in Bangladesh, the air quality in urban areas is gradually deteriorating linked with rapid population growth, burning of fossil fuels and unplanned urbanization. The extreme unhealthy air in some urban cities is creating serious health hazards such as problems in respiratory system to people. The US based Health Effects Institute reported that the air pollution related deaths have increased in Bangladesh. The World Health Organization (WHO) also ranked Bangladesh with worst urban air quality in its air pollution monitoring report.

As a citizen of Bangladesh, I would like to contribute to the air quality research in Bangladesh. I plan to conduct research on urban air pollution and associated health impacts and identify practical measures to protect people from the hazardous impacts of air pollution. In this context, the conference will be a brilliant opportunity to enrich knowledge on various issues of air quality and health impacts; establish valuable contacts with the researchers, faculty members and expertise in the associated field and find out potential partners for collaboration that may benefit my home-country for future research scope as well as implement any practical solution to control air pollution in Bangladesh. To realize my ambition and attend the conference, I need 1000 Euro (approx.) to cover registration fee, accommodation and travel.
