Representing Nye Co. in Regional Wrestling Tournament

Dear Pahrump Business Owner,                                                                                                                                     

   This letter is to see if you and/or your company would be interested in sponsoring Darin Legrand-Groen, a member of the Pahrump Powerhouse Wrestlers, as he continues wrestling in USA Wrestling now that the Southern Nevada Wrestling season has come to an end. USA Wrestling tournaments are invitational only.  Darin excelled during this last wrestling season. As well as being a skilled wrestler Darin has made Honor Roll every Quarter and Semester since he began kindergarten and Student of the Month multiple times.

    As Southern Nevada Wrestling Season came to an end Darin finished it off by taking 2^nd place at SNWA Championship Tournament on February 25, 2012.  Darin and four other Pahrump Powerhouse Wrestlers registered with USA Wrestling in order to continue wrestling after the Southern Nevada season was over. The five wrestlers trained hard and competed in the Nevada State Championship tournament that was held in Winnemucca March 09-11, 2012. They were introduced to two new styles of wrestling and had only two weeks to train for these as well as working on the wrestling style they have been taught all season. Darin proudly came back to Pahrump with one 1st place medal and two 2nd place medals. He then became the only wrestler from Pahrump to be invited to compete in the West Kids & Cadet Regional Championship tournament held in Pocatello, Idaho, June 17-24, 2012. This tournament is invitational only. Wrestlers that take 1^st, 2^nd, or 3^rd place in the tournament will be invited to compete in Nationals being held in Orem, Utah, June 25-27, 2012.

   This will be the first tournament that Darin will wrestle at without any of his wrestling team members and he is honored to be able to represent Pahrump, NV. Sponsorships and donations are needed and appreciated in order for the regular season to be successful but with the season being over there are no sponsorships. We are reaching out to the community of Pahrump in order to raise the funds for Darin to attend these tournaments as Pahrump’s only wrestler. The cost of travel, lodging, entry fees, and meals for nine days for the Regional tournament and possibly an additional four days of Nationals if he qualifies will need to be covered. Any and all sponsorships/donations would be greatly appreciated and you and your company will be recognized as a member of our community supporting Darin while he represents Pahrump.
