Help us plant 500,000 trees in the Amazon Rain-Forest
A Natural Disaster is happening right now - the Amazon Rain-Forest is on Fire. The Rain-Forest acts as the earth's lungs and without it, we will lose the fight with pollution. Wildfires in the Amazon rainforest have hit record numbers, with satellites from space capturing the thick smoke that has covered more than half of Brazil.
Brazil’s space research centre INPE has recorded 72,843 fires in the Amazon this year alone, marking an 83 percent increase over the same period of 2018 and is the highest since records began in 2013. The heavy smoke caused a daytime blackout more than 1,700 miles away in Brazil’s largest city São Paulo on Monday.
Most of the blazes were located in the Amazon basin - home to the world’s largest tropical forest seen as vital to countering global warming. The fires have been reported as particularly severe over the past three weeks, with smoke from the raging infernos now covering more than half of Brazil.
With your support, we want to plant 500,000 trees by the end of 2019. We will put boots on the ground and plant 1 tree for every 2 dollars donated.
This is what we want to help preserve:
Please help us by donating, or sharing. Every dollar will help us, and our future generations.
