Replacement MP3 Player (Broke College Student)

If you’re a college student, taking 17 credits with no time for a job, and who’s weekly budget only allows for $30 of groceries, I’m sure you’ve come across the problem of wanting to buy something new, and not being able to.

Music has always been a big part of my life. I got my first MP3 (a Sony) when I was just ten years old. Ever sense, I’ve never been without one, and I’ve always been on the lookout for the best.

I’ve been in need of an MP3 player upgrade for some time now. My current one has served me well for four years now, but it’s falling apart at the seams (the plastic shell is held together by electrical tape), and it’s time to buy a new one. The problem is, I want to invest in this good MP3 I’ll be able to use for another good set of years. (The Fiio-X7) But, quality comes with a hefty price tag. ($764 to be exact.)

At this point there’s no way I can justify dropping that much money on a music player without a job or some form of income.

So, I’ve decided to turn to the community, to hopefully (and humbly) get some help with this little first world plight of mine.

I thank the community in advance for any and all contributions. I don't expect anyone to really get excited over helping some dude get a shiny new MP3 player, but any and all contributions are a gift, and I appreciate them all.
