Our brother Mike suffered a stroke 5 years ago which has left him handicapped requring the use of an electric wheelchair. He spent over a year living in hospitals and nursing homes, 18 months living at our parents' house and for the past two years has been in rented accomodation. This April he celebrates his 40th birthday and has signed a contract to purchase a condo. At the moment it is not handicap accessible; however, Mike has received permission from the site manager to make the needed changes to really create a place of his own. In honor of these two milestones, we encourage you to support Mike40for40, giving $40 towards the cost of renovating the kitchen, laying wood flooring, and modifying the second bedroom before he moves in in June 2013.
