I introduce myself, I'm Andrea, I'm Italian and I'm 33 years old, I'm single (for too long), I live with my parents and I work in a small company in the north east of Italy.
My parents are not working, my father is unemployed, he is 63 and can not find work due to age, and my mom is a full-time housewife also having to look after my grandmother who unfortunately got diagnosed with alzheimer a few years ago. .
In the company where I work I spend about 11 \ 12 hours a day and I have the job as a welder, and sometimes I have to go abroad to carry out maintenance on the machines we produce.
Having a steady job, and a fairly good pay, a year ago I decided to buy a house and go to live alone, I found a perfect home for how I wanted it, it's a little old, it's my age, but given the figure we were talking about was a business, there were jobs to do, but they did not seem many, after thinking about it and talking to my parents I went to the bank and I made a mortgage, the bank has released me a mortgage, approximately € 549 per month for 25 years.
In July of last year I started work on the house and to save for now I'm doing everything by myself without the help of companies, I buy the materials and I try to get along, fortunately thanks to the help of some friends who are helping me a lot .
But after a while the work began to become as you can imagine more difficult and expensive than expected, moreover being alone and not being able to ask for financial help to my parents the work is going on and now I do not think I will manage to finish them before at least 6 \ 7 years.
The initial idea was to have a house as green as possible to save money on the bill, but it is proving to be too expensive, and despite having removed from the list the most expensive jobs, such as photovoltaic panels, solar panels and thermal underfloor heating, the final expense is too high.
I calculated that to finish the renovation I would need at least 40,000 euros, and to have a 100% green home another 30,000 euros, spending is virtually unbearable for one person, as I try to save in all possible ways.
So here I am, thanks to a friend of mine who told me this site, I hope someone reads and has the opportunity to help me, even if with little, everything will help to continue with the renovation.
A huge thank you and an hug to everyone.
