Relocate to Austin, Texas Fund

Austin or Bust! My need is very simple: I need help relocating from NY to Austin, Texas. I am planning to move to this great city of Austin soon. While I love NY and the surrounding areas it is just gotten too expensive. I have been unemployed (laid-off) for over a year. I guess it has been an uphill battle since my father died a few years ago of pancreatic cancer. He was my good friend and a support to me. I think it is time for me to start new memories and put myself in different surroundings. Things are starting to look up, as I do now work part-time teaching English as a second language over the internet and I am trying to start my own business in this field. That in itself is a task but one task at a time. Things are very challenging and sometimes in life you need a little help. I will leave NY with mixed feelings because I lived here most of my life. Please help me with moving expenses and associated costs. Whatever is donated will go to the cost of buying new furniture, my new apartment, and travel expenses.
