Hi, I'm Lauren and I'm raising money for Syria Relief with my fund manager Shubi. I also have enlisted help from my friend Dante and Naffah. Thank you for those who donate and have helped me raise this money for Syria Relief.

The denial of food has become a brutal weapon in Syria's war. Prolonged sieges are leaving thousands of residents in contested areas facing starvation, and a slow death.

Residents in Ghouta, Mouadhamiyah, and today Madaya, have been encircled and denied food and medicines. They are being punished with hunger.

The situation is particularly dire in the mountainous town of Madaya, where 40,000 residents have been besieged for 6 months, and are now starving.

Families here have sold all their belongings to purchase food. Though some is available, prices are exorbitant. One kilogram of rice costs $250, and the price is rising.

As we all know, Syria is a hot zone today with many adults and children living in a nightmare we could not imagine. They're suffering calls out to many of us, and it's our job as humans to take care of each other rather than hurting one another. Humans are here for advancement and to make the way of life easier, and if anyone needs help now, it's Syria. Here's a look at an area we'll be funding through Syria Relief:
