Flood Relief help for the kids

Kaua’i’s north shore got inundated with horrendous flooding and mudslides yesterday. Communities in Hanalei, Wainiha and Haena are now isolated without food, water or other supplies. It’s going to be a long process to restore the road up North. In the meantime, we will be shuttling supplies by boat and jet ski to those in need. Mahalo for your support! 100 % of money here goes directly to supplies for those affected.
We are raising funds for residents who have lost so many things in this tragic flood. We are going to disperse the funds with with a team and give them specifically to friends and family who are in complete devastation. People have lost homes, boats, cars, so many personal items it’s impossible to list them all. If you would like your funds to go to a specific family, item or area please designate It suffered a major devastation when the island was hit , They have been blessed with help from many organizations such as Global Medic and the Red Cross. We are lucky enough to have found a way there. A little creative travelling but we will get there. And while we are there we want to help. So whether that is fixing roofs, cleaning up debris or visiting the orphanages and shelters we will go where we are needed.

There are many children that have been displaced . These children are still suffering from loss and fear of what has happened. If we can give them comfort with a stuffy toy to hold onto when they are scared or a safety blanket to keep them warm or just a hug, we want to try.

We want to use the donations towards anything the children need. Whether that is practical, such as diapers and shoes, or things that give them comfort such as toys.

We know what we can do is a small piece but if it helps one child i think we have accomplished our goal.

So we are asking if anyone would like to donate to the children of our special island we would greatly appreciate any support you can give. I made the donations available as cdn currency and will convert to u.s. dollars to purchase items on the island. It was suggested by our island friends this be the preferred way as to also support the island economy as well.
