Relief for my parents

Hello everyone.

Where do I start?

This is my stepfather Monte. He's a veteran... Retired from the Navy after 24 years. He has onset dementia and possible onset Alzheimer's.
2 1/2 years ago he had a stroke.
Since then, his health has been declining.
And.. He has just been diagnosed with terminal Lung cancer :-(
And doctors will not do treatment... Said the treatment will kill him before the cancer will.
This is my loving mother Charlotte , she getting age related dementia....things have been real hard for her since his stroke! It just kills me to see her sadness.. she's scared and angry for how he is and life gets confusing to her on a daily basis. Very recently her health has declined.
I've had Durable Power of Attorney over both of them, for only a couple months... . I had to!
They have not been able to do things... Drive, pay bills, shop etc, for quite some time.
We are not financially set for this!
Who is? I know.
I just don't want my mother to lose her home (which will eventually go to me and my brothers) when that time comes that Monte has to go to hospice care or passes, I want to prepare for this.... kind of hard if there's nothing to prepare with.
So I'm asking for help.... Please!
So the struggles we are about to face will not include a family of 6, to lose their home.
Whatever bills, appointments, tests and everything else we are about to face....shouldn't included the panic and worry of being homeless.
There's still 11 1/2 more months of mortgage payments (my goal amount is half of that) ... and we are barely making ends meat as it is.
Need some help/relief!!
Need to know that my dad will be taken care of, my mother is taken care of and that the "house payment" is not looming over our heads.
And on top of all of that... Just became aware that Monte has a decreasing term life insurance.. As of August 7th of this year it expires. So... His other life insurance is not enough for the burial.
Crazy!!! So a part of the amount requested/needed is for that as well.
