Relief after Hurricane Maria

Hello everyone. It's taken us over 7 months to do this, to ask for help. As most of you know, Hurricane Maria hit our island of Puerto Rico on September 20th 2017, leaving the island devastated, and changing our lives forever. After the hurricane struck, the crisis came to be. We didn't have a job for over three months. Food and water was scarce, and We did not have electricity for over 6 months. Some still don't. Every other day we lose electricity again. The reason why I came to this point in asking for help, is because since the hurricane, we have been struggling financially. Bills piled up due to the lack of work, and keep on piling up due to medical conditions I recently discover. We still have not been able to replace what we lost, since FEMA rejected our petition for financial help. They came to our house, they saw what we lost due to the flood, but still we did not qualify among the millions that needed help. The government and the outside world does not know that the crisis is still here for many. I want to thank those who have helped us. And ask for those who can help, even with the smallest amount, you will make such a difference. We need just a little push for our lives to sort of go back to normal.
