Campaign Story
I am a Quadriplegic, in a wheelchair for the past 28 years.
I am one of the 1% of disabled people who has a permanent work in South Africa. I work at a local mining company as a switchboard controller.
I need to get a more reliable vehicle with a wheelchair lift to get to work every day.
My father who is 74 years old takes me to work every day and we can not afford to get problems with our current vehicle on our way to work.
My current vehicle left us stranded 600 km from home when it broke down, the clutch gave in, on our way back from vacation which left us all exhausted and traumatized.
I am not somebody who likes to ask for donations or handouts but I can not see any other way to solve my problem and not jeopardize my job. I will really appreciate it if anybody can assist me in my quest to get a new suitable vehicle for my needs.
