Reiki for Reparation Scholarship Fund

Reiki is universal, and can be made accessible to any ethnic, racial, or religious group, as long as no dogma is attached. As such, Reiki for Reparation is a 3-week intensive designed to bring this healing energy full force into the Black DAEUS community.

DAEUS stands for “Descendants of Africans Enslaved in the United States.” The havoc that institution wreaked on our ancestors is no secret, nor are the effects of various types of overt and covert racism on our present-day communities. Health disparities, mental distress, spiritual disconnection, and educational, political, and financial disempowerment are just a few of the areas in which we need a deep healing. The damage done has been forced upon us. The reparation will, and has always, come from within.

Reiki for Reparation is designed to give Black DAEUS people the tools, the support, and the guidance to begin using Reiki for the benefit of themselves and others. At the completion of the course, each student will be certified as a Reiki Level 1 practitioner. This gives them access to a dynamic healing tool, and the means to create an additional stream of income.

Students will also receive one-on-one mentorship, ongoing support via email, an invitation to a closed Facebook discussion group, and lifetime access to all course materials and updates! Each one will become part of an intentional community of Black Reiki practitioners, contributing to a movement for our healing.

It is of the highest importance that all who need access to this program are able to have it. It is my intention that at least 5 scholarships be disseminated every quarter. The minimum funding goal for this ongoing campaign will fund one round of scholarships - 5 students - and money raised in excess of that goal will go toward additional scholarships, either for the current or following quarter.
