plot:

A boxer is humiliated after a terrible match. he runs into a man who calls himself the hired gun. They become friends and with the hired gun's help Fred improves as a boxer and wins a boxing tournament. All seems good, until Fred learns that the hired gun has been dead for 20 years and has come back from the dead to kill fred.
