Campaign Story
For my 70 th birthday, instead of receiving presents, I am hoping to raise some funds to send to two refugee projects in Lesbos. Four years ago I spent a few weeks in Lesbos when hundreds of refugees were arriving in boats on their way to Europe. Now there are more that 16,000 refugees stuck there on the island living in terrible conditions. There are two projects i would like to send money to.
1) The Hope project- a charity which provides vital aid and support for people in need through empowerment, art and mental health projects.They are currently fundraising for a much needed replacement vehicle for thier project
2)Earth Medicine- An organisation providing free acupuncture treatments for refugees living in refugee camps with PTSD and other physical ailments.
