Generally living condition of Somali refugee community Malaysia is unforgiving. Unemployment is very high, they are racial segregated, making it difficult to even perform the 3D’ Jobs. refugees by law are not Permitted to hold jobs and are expected to sustain household income level of minimum wage RM 1,200. However the majority are only capable of bringing RM 800 to their household.

Among The key points why refugees suffer in Malaysia, is because Malaysia is not signatory to 1951 Refugee Convention or its 1967 Protocol, nor has the country any legal or administrative framework to manage refugees and asylum seekers. Without legal frameworks refugees do not have access to formal employment opportunities, or state-related services like education, skills training, shelter, healthcare, financing, and childcare. Refugees are forced to work in the informal sector, which is accompanied by a greater risk of exploitation and abuse.

Motto

Building Brilliance, Building Community

Objectives

  • To support the growth achievement of education in the Somali refugee community in fighting against illiteracy.
  • To support the integration of the Somali refugee community with the local communities.
  • To establishes a non-for-profit learning centre that generate funds without financial aids.
  • To successfully hold a name as a quality education in the community and build a reputable business model and reputation. Generate earnings in year four allowing us to begin gratis consulting projects.

Mission

  • Save School for refugee Development exists to provide basic education and literacy for the development of the Refugee Community in Gombak. Counselling to parents on what measure they should do next America's Catholic elementary and high schools.
  • Focused on this single objective, we are specialists, not generalists.
  • Relieved of profit pressures, we take the long-term view of building lasting relationships between the school and its supporters.
  • We will always act in the long-term interest of our clients. If you are not ready for a campaign, we will say so. Then we'll do everything we can to get ready.
  • We are development consultants, not fundraising consultants. We take a comprehensive approach to the financial health of the school.
  • Our primary job as consultants is very much like that of a teacher. In our case, we teach by 'doing.' This implies, of course, a partnership between teacher and student.
  • Knowing the unique circumstances of raising money for schools, we only employ consultants with specific experience in this area.
  • Though we are a not-for-profit organization, to attract experienced specialists we must compete with the largest firms in the country. While we operate on a sliding scale, we ask clients to remember this as they consider our proposal.

Vision

  • Access to quality education for all refugee children
  • Creating a generation of refugees capable of working at a corporate level.

Lack of English language result many Somalians included male and female to miss employment chances.

In the Somali refugee community, the key problem is unemployment and the chance is very low due to different reasons.

a) Nearly 30-50 people approach save school for refugees every week by seeking job opportunity andwhere they can obtain medical assistance.

b) Single mothers complain about shortage of food and rental cost which they are unable to pay regularly
