Refugee from Croatia

My name is Marijana Djuric. I live in Pancevo, Serbia. I was born 39 years ago in a small village, Perjasica in Croatia. When I was 10, the war started. It lasted from 1990 to 1995. I do not know if you know, but he finished with a large military operation called Storm.

250,000 thousands people from Croatia fled to Serbia. Among them, and me, my dad, mom and sister.

Since then, we have lived in several towns and villages in Serbia, while not permanently settled in Pancevo. I moved a 13 times.

Now I have 39 years, I have a son of 5 years and husband. We live in a home of 44 m2.

My only wish in life, beside that we are in good healt, to have my own home, where there are two bedrooms, living room and kitchen. Where my son has his own room, because I never had may room.

We need $57.000,00, how much costs flat with too bedrooms in our country.

Because of the loans we already have, the bank would not approve us a housing loan and we would not have enough to pay the credit payments anyway.

My husband and I work hard, and we do not have sufficient income to buy a home.

We have two refinancing loan and my husbanden pays alimentation.

Our montly incomes are 718,00 and are montly costs are:

$134,00 - credit payment (montly) ,

$ 98,00 USD - credit payment (montly),

$115,00 USD - alimentation (montly),

$40 USD – kindergarten(montly),

$ 60– electric bill (montly),
$ 90 – phone and internet (monthly)
$ 30 –car loan(montly).

What's left for us, we spend on food.

The total amount we need to pay off both our loans and the car loan is $ 11.000,00.

If, with your good will, we settle these debts, we have a chance that the bank will grant us a housing loan.

Any of these two amounts to me mean the realization of my dream.

This is my last hope, please help me and and help my son to get him his own room first time in his life. Help him to have something that I never had.

I know that this what I'm doing is impossible, but at least there is hope, when I lie down at night, that maybe somebody somewhere wants to help me.
