Red is a senior sweet boy who has been hurting for some time. His owner noticed he would not use his back legs and he was refusing to eat. She placed a rosary on him, prayed for him and fed him homemade food by hand. But he needed to see a vet. Red is a C.H.A.I.N.E.D Inc dog. His owner is responsible and cares for him. Red used to be a little chunky. When we were notified of his condition we sent out to wonderful volunteers to take Red to the vet. They were there bright and early on Sunday morning. Red spent 5 hours in the vet's office. He was given a pain shot, IV fluids, and xrays. He was then diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both back legs/hips. He was in a lot of pain. Red was given a steroid shot to go along with the pain control injection. He was sent home on oral pain medications, joint care medications and a special canned food diet from the vet. We are going to get some weight on him and get him comfortable. Red will need our help to maintain his medications as his owner is on a very limited income. He is resting inside receiving love, attention and prayers. Please consider donating to help with his vet bill from today and his continued care.
