ZAR33,812raised of R200,000.00 goal
Our 7-year old daughter, Alex Taljard, has been an in- and out-patient in Ward E2, the renal ward, at the Red Cross Memorial Children's Hospital in Cape Town, for the past five years. Many parents and children are long-term residents of the ward as their conditions often require long stays. Alex was lucky enough to receive a matched kidney from her gran, Jenni MacLeod, in January 2018 and spent many weeks recovering in E2 from the transplant operation, and subsequently receiving dialysis a few times a week. The ward itself and the bathrooms are in desperate need of an upgrade: paint, new taps, baths and amenities. We are about to return to London, and as a final farewell and thank you to the incredible doctors, staff, children and parents of E2, we as a family are trying to raise R200k towards the work needed.
Please can you help: any amount no matter how small, will be enormously appreciated.
