Recycle to Plant a Tree
Since the dawn of time we as humans did not care about where our waste goes, how many trees we cut off or how much me are polluting the air. We didn't care how many animals died because of our pollution.
It is now 2020 and there are plastic Islands in the Ocean. People need to wear masks to breath. Animals die every day because of our waste that they digest.
I want to change that. I decided to start this project to give back to nature what it gives us freely every day. Life.
Recycle to Plant a Tree Project will focus on the South African waste and pollution crises as well as the food insecurity, polluted air, polluted environment and job security.
The recyclable materials that we recover will be sent to a recycling company. Funds that are generated from the recycled material will be used to buy Fruit, Avocado and Nut trees. These trees will then be planted in public spaces such as Government schools, Hospitals, Nursing homes and parks where the fruit can be harvested by the general public.
Why plant fruit trees?
Fruit trees serve a dual purpose.
1) Help with cleaning the air from toxins
2) Help with food security for those who cannot afford to buy healthy fruit and nuts as it is extremely expensive.
Recycling to plant a tree is all about the environment and community upliftment . Cleaning the environment and starting a culture of care and healthy living.
Funds from GoGetFunding
The funds that I get from GoGetFunding will be used to buy recycling bins. These bins will be placed at designated areas.
The funds are basically to start the project and get it up and running. The more bins I can place the more recycling will happen and this will also start to teach South Africans about recycling.
I cannot put into words how grateful I am for every single person who reads this and help me to help the environment.
Support from other people will indicate that I am not alone and that what I am trying to accomplish are being supported by others.
