Recumbent trike for Bill

We are raising funds to buy a recumbent tricycle and accessories for Bill, a family member in Deland, FL who suffered from a stroke some years back. Bill is only able to use one side of his body, but does amazingly well in spinning classes, and would like to be able to ride a recumbent trike on bike trails. He is not able to work and has limited income.

The amazing and inspiring thing about Bill is that despite his physical limitations, he has a great deal of fun, a positive attitude, and a wonderful sense of humor. Bill has worked hard to re-learn how to walk and to improve his speech. He shows incredible determination and never complains.

Bill works out regularly at the YMCA in Deland, and has a host of friends there who love to be around him. I started this campaign to allow friends and family to contribute to the cost of a Catrike recumbent trike and the accessories needed to customize the Catrike for Bill's needs (one hand operation of controls). Members of Bill's immediate family are paying for the bulk of the costs, but would appreciate support from the wider community.
