Recovery Journey For Jessica

Many of you know about the incredible turnaround Jessica made after suffering cardiac arrest when she was life-flighted into Texas Children's Hospital back at the beginning of November and was on life support for a week. I was told by the doctor when I arrived, that she had to be honest with me and she needed to let me know that there was only a 50/50 chance of her making it. 

It has been a quite a journey so far and we still have a long road ahead of us.  Even though she has been back home about a month now, we have had many long days and nights.  While we are traveling back and forth into Houston for follow-up treatment, doctors appointments, and counseling, it has been very exhausting and overwhelming, not to mention financially draining on a single mom of two teenagers.  In addition to medical bills, filling up with gas about every other day has been a strain on the finances.  We are also looking into transitioning her into another school that can accommodate Jessica for her needs, which we will incur tuition and transportation costs, as this school is in Houston by the Medical Center.

First and foremost, I would like to thank all of the family and friends for the thoughts and prayers.  Wow, what a difference the power of prayer can make. I truly believe that his helped Jessica survive and still have her here with us today.  Her doctors and nurses were absolutle Angels!  God definitely has some sort of plan for her life.

A family member suggested I set up this site to help assist us in all of the costs we are incurring.  Any and all dontations for support would be greatly appreciated in our road to success for Jessica!!
