My twin brother, Reinnite, was diagnosed with PNH (paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria), March of 2018. It is a rare bone marrow disease wherein his red blood cells are routinely destroyed. He has been in and out of the hospital for blood transfusions to make up for lost red blood cells and platelets since June of 2018. After some lengthy process, he was given compassionate use of Soliris, December 2018. It is a miracle drug for this disease. However, results have not been encouraging. His red blood cells and platelets continue to deteriorate prior to each scheduled infusion of the drug. The only course left is to undergo bone marrow transplant.
I have donated my stem cells to jump start his bone marrow.
With the help of family, we are able to raise for the procedure. However, it has drained our family with resources. Nevertheless, we're glad for your help.
Moreover, he has stopped working and his recovery period may last six months. He is currently a professor in De La Salle University, working for the Decisions Sciences and Innovation Department and is on leave.
Your donation will help him get back to his feet and offset expenses while recovering. We appeal to your compassionate hearts. And we are grateful for all your prayers and support. 🙂 You may send via bank deposit BPI (0473052741; Reissite Madrid) or GCash; (0915-9881093). 🙂
