Recovery for Scam Victim during COVID-19

Hi everyone! My name is Amanda Garcia I’m a 25 year old living in Manila. I put up this funding because I’m trying to recoup funds amounting to PHP 15,000 after being scammed last April 25 into purchasing an item I found online. I tried purchasing a Nintendo Switch for my family - thought it would be something the whole family could use to pass the time especially since we’re all quarantined. But unfortunately the merchant successfully scammed me and stole my hard earned money.

The PHP 15k was the remaining funds I had at the time. I felt it was a good investment and actually a good deal as the price mentioned was below the market value.

I was hoping my then job could help me recover but of course just like many of us COVID-19 has made the working situation difficult and I sadly overestimated my budget. I’m having difficulty making ends meet because of this. I’ve reported the incident to the online shopping platform, my bank, and even NBI but to no avail. I confronted and tried my best to get a hold of the seller myself but every time I did there was an excuse! I couldn’t even get to a phone call with this seller.

The merchant also used a fake website to showcase all the “available products” he/ she had and even a website for the “shipping and tracking”. I should also mention the scammer got a hold of my personal details like my home address, phone numbers, etc.

Should any of you need further proof of my transaction I would be happy to email/personally message it to you. I also wanted to post this to draw awareness that scams are still happening even during COVID-19. It’s truly terrible.

Please avoid scammer that goes by the name Prizillia Fantosa with phone number +63 905 9521048. The scammer has two dummy accounts: Space-Stores and Rapid Logistics both claiming to be from Singapore.
