ReCONNECT – a cyberpunk animated short

Welcome to the FUTURE!

ReCONNECT is a fast paced sci-fi animated short film. This exciting ride takes us to a cyberpunk world that is disconnected and dark. But in this dystopian setting a deeply human story unfolds.

STORY

The protagonist is a man trying to reconnect with the woman he loves, while on the run from Mega Corp.. In this dystopian cyberpunk world Mega Corp., the biggest multinational company, is also the tyrannical government and cruel law enforcement all in one. Will our hero manage to survive the night and reach his goal?

HOW YOU CAN HELP

The script, storyboard and pre planning are all done, and animating is well underway. But there is still a long road ahead, and your support can help a lot. The funds will be used primarily in 3 ways:

• use additional software (like motion capture) to automate processes
• hire helping hands to outsource some of the work
• send the film to animation festivals, so that it can reach more people

THE CREATORS

My name is Akos Malindovszky and I’m the writer, animator and director of this short film. I’ve created graphics, comics, and even an anaimated music video in the past, but this is the first time, that I’m telling an original story. I hope I get to I’m really thrilled to show you this film!

To make the film truly engaging and exciting it will feature music from the super talented Scott Buckley.
