Hurricane Florence came onto the coast of North Carolina late Thursday Sept 13th with a mighty force. Although the winds were downgraded, the flooding after the storm has caused complete devastation. This is a picture of my brother and sister in-law's house in Leland, NC. Thank goodness they and their newborn twins are safe. They evacuated before the hurricane.

Their house was not in a flood zone and therefore they didn't have flood insurance. We are unsure of the amount of loss since the waters have just receded. FEMA is urging everyone to be cautious of sewer contamination so they are unsure if the house will be salvagable. Either way, their little family is in need of any help that anyone is able to give.

Everyone has been asking me what they can do. I thought this would be the best way to get the word out. Any money raised will be used to help buy what is needed to help clean their house and make it liveable again. If it is not able to be liveable again, the money will be used to buy what is needed to help with restart their lives. Whether you are able to give or not, more than anything we are asking for you to lift their family, as well as, many others in our area up in your prayers.
