Campaign Story
On May 12, 2013, in the afternoon the communities of Lewis Estates in Edmonton Alberta were horrified to find their neighbors’ homes were set a flame.
The 3 homes were engulfed within minutes. People were at home enjoying a relaxing afternoon to be startled by the screams of FIRE! Families escaped safely with their friends, family members and pets. Due to the rush of the event most were outside watching their house burn in little-few clothes and no shoes. The group of neighbors stood and watched as their home was being taken away from them.
We are looking for donations to help buy clothing for families to be able to return to work and feel normal again. Dontations will be put towards new housing for when they find a place to stay until their home situation can be sorted out. Donations will also be put towards future houses expenses such as furniture, bedding, kitchen supplies, etc.
It is now time to help these families who have given their hands and hearts to everyone else. Please help us to get them back on their feet to build a new home and new beginnings together.
