The La Guerre Primary School is a small primary school located in the rural community of Babonneau. Equipped with a very strong agricultural programme which the students are very proud of and set of selfless and exceptional teachers. I have had the pleasure of visiting this school and was very impressed with the winning attitude of both the students and the teachers. The children are not only excited about learning but possess a joie de vivre which is remarkable. The team of educators at this school is extremely resourceful and are innovative in finding ways to reach the students despite a very tight budget. What really touched me about this small community school is that in every class there are a number of children whose only meal comes from the school feeding programme. Sadly the kitchen is not properly equipped and for over a year now the school has been trying to raise funds to buy a new stove. In addition, there is a wealth of books to share but no physical structure to put it in because of the limited space of the existing building. This school is a gem, with so much potential and I think that with a little love and some financial backing it has the opportunity to flourish. I want to see this school realise this potential and I think they are worth the investment. Education is so important. All the children in the world should have access to a quality education. Here's to making this a reality for La Guerre Primary.
