ABOUT THE PROJECT:
ENS Akwaaba Foundation is a registered NGO in Ghana that works with varies stakeholders towards providing quality education, good well and well being of disadvantaged children in Ghana.
This time around, Akwaaba volunteers are running a "READ & WRITE Project" for the christian 'King of Kings Primary School' and 'The Bishop Mix JHS'. The aim is to encourage their interest in reading. Also, to encourage them to read independently in their spare time. Nowadays, reading and writing are prerequisites for successfully participating in social life. It is also indispensable for a successful education. We also want to donate exercise books, reading material and stationaries to encourage reading. That's why we collect donations, as well as old and new children's books!
ABOUT US:
We are a young, dynamic, strong team with a great passion for what we do!
Our foundation has mostly local volunteers here in Ghana. Also, we have been fortunate to have volunteers from other parts of the world joining us towards making a difference. You are also very welcome to volunteer with us! :-)
Currently, the organization is working with two schools in a beautiful town called JamesTown in Accra. We undertook our first project, "Dignified Girl Project" which was aimed at educating ladies on mentrual cycles and the boys on personal hygiene. As well we discussed reasons why they should not mock at ladies when they notices they are in their periods.
Please support a worthy project!
We want you to support with the little to put a smile on the children in JamesTown.
You can as well write us if you wanna volunteer in Ghana.
