Campaign Story
Started in March 18, 2020 in response to a post by Live Video Artist, JT Rius, we have come together to help our fellow Freelance Live Production & Events Personnel who are badly hit by the CoVid-19 situation. Right now, thousands of us across all sectors of the Live Events industry have suffered financial hardship because of live event cancellations. While most of us are riding this situation out with our savings, there are others who have lost what little remains of their funds from illnesses and ailments before the CoVid related cancellation of events.
They are also the sole breadwinners of their families, who rely heavily on a per project basis and are not covered by any advance payments by an employer.
This fragile group in the Live Production & Events industry are production assistants, utility staff, technical assistants and freelance workers who help make a show run smoothly. They are the backbone of concerts, corporate shows and live events.
They do NOT have any employment protections and some of them have current medical maintenance needs. They are NOT regulars in any company or agency.
Right now they need our help as they face months of uncertainty.
Whatever little amount you can give for them will generate a sum that can help them and their family during this crisis.

We started out with 10 cases of Freelancers in our list. Their dire situation range from ongoing medical needs with zero balances in their savings to desperate freelancers, who earn 4 figures in an event with families of more than 3 children.
The total amount raised will be equally divided among them and deposited directly to their respective accounts.

The number of cases grew since then and we have distributed donations to 140 Freelance Live Production & Events Personnel already (see updates for latest tally).
