Reaching Haiti with ReachHaiti Ministries

The Story: In June of 2012, The Lord flung countless doors so I could go on my first out of the country mission trip ever. I had tried to go on several trips in the past, but they never seemed to come together. And then the opportunity came along for me to go to Haiti with ReachHaiti Ministries. While there, I realized why all the other trips had never worked out- because God was calling me to Haiti. Have you ever felt created to do something? Or just been so passionate about something and not known why? It’s because The Lord instils these passions in our hearts so we can use them to glorify Him and feel real joy, joy that is blessed and straight from the Lord. That’s what Haiti is for me. When I grow up, I want to be a nurse in Haiti, serving alongside the most selfless people I’ve ever met, in the most beautiful country in the world.

The Details: I need you. I will be returning to Haiti for my third trip on October 4th and staying for two weeks. The first week will be a medical based mission trip. We will be setting up five clinics, serving communities, providing health care, and loving on everyone that passes through. The second week, we will be traveling to the mountains of Haiti, loving on the children at the ministry’s orphanages, and serving the ministry and Haiti in every and anyway possible. The total cost of the trip will be $2,000. Between school, fund raisers, and two jobs, I am stretched for time and resources. That’s why I am reaching out to everyone and anyone. 

The Prayer: If you are unable to financially support me, then please just be praying. Actually, please be praying regardless. God is going to do amazing things in Haiti. He is right now. So if you pray for anything specific, just pray for the teams and I to be the hands and feet of Jesus. To have joy with doing God’s work, and that in everything we do, we glorify him. God is such a big and awesome God. And He is just so awesome for making someone like you who will deal with letters like this. I so appreciate you, even just for reading this.
