RazorShark Needs a New Friend! (Sewing Machine)

There are many tools necessary to make fantasy become reality. For the pursuits of a professional costume-maker, nothing really compares to a strong, capable sewing machine. My current sewing machine, a Huskvana Emerald 116, Astrid, is 8 years old and she's seen some serious sh*t. Hundreds of projects, dozens of fursuits, several cosplays, and countless tailoring jobs and accessory orders. She's been in and out of the shop a handful of times during her lifetime, and she's not done yet! She's been my faithful partner and allowed me to create so many wonderful costumes and delight my clients for years with quality seams, but she's not suited for the kind of work I'll be taking on going forward.

She needs a successor. A powerhouse. A hero who's built to brave the toughest of fibers and take a bite out of brutal backing. I'm talking about a JUKI DDL-8700.

THIS WILL BE OUR HERO.

Jokes aside, it's seriously time. This machine is gonna cost me about $800. I don't need it right away, but I figured I'll set aside $300, start saving and take donations from anybody who would like to help me along the way. Astrid won't be getting retired. I'll be working her until I reach my goal on here and get the Juki in the shop, then after that, she'll be donated! Either to a local convention for their at-con "Emergency Repair Station" for attending cosplayers, or to a new fursuit maker who needs a bad-ass stitch-kween (who also doesn't mind a few too many absurdly crude stickers that cover her chase.)
