Rattan Furniture Manufacture in Turkey

I am Ali Kulak from Turkey.

We have been manufacturing outdoor furnitures since 1984 in my company. It is a huge sector in Turkey and Europe.(please visit our home page www.erdembambu.com.tr)

We can divide outdoor furnitures basically in 2 categories:

1. Made of tree(rattan tree,teak,ireco)

2.Made of aluminium and plastic (which we call plastic rattan)

Our country import all plastic rattan furniture from far east (China,Vietnam,Endonasia).

According to Turkish Statistical Institute; Turkey import 90 million Dollars plastic rattan furniture annually.

The market in Europe+Russia is ten times larger than Turkey.

All Europe also import these goods from China. The average import time is nearly 75 days to Europe countries.(30 days order preparation+45 days transportation)

Turkish Goverment gave us encouragement to set up a plastic rattan factory in East part of Turkey.

We choose Malatya because it is a safe city-no terror- and it is also fairly close to harbors-Mersin Harbor-

Goverment also provide us some convenience to set up plastic rattan furniture Malatya.

Most important ones:

1.up to %90 cut off labor insurance fee for 10 years

2.up to %90 cut off income tax for 10 years

3.cheap electricity for 10 years

4.cheap natural gas for 10 years

These topics allow me to produce plastic rattan as cheap as China

They also promise us to give loan to finish the factory building.

We start the factory and finished nearly %30 of factory building, unfortunately because of the economic crises we couldn't get this loan from any bank.

What is my "+"s

1.Location I can sent any type of truck from Malatya to any country to Europe max in 10 days.(not 45!!!)

2.There is no manufacturing factory as big as my factory between Europe and China.

3.There is no tax between Turkey and most of theEurope countries.

4.There is no manufacturer in Turkey(means 90 million dollars market)

5. I can sell as cheap as China with a 1/3 transportation time and tax free.
