Rape Victim Needs Funding for Legal Fees

Desiree is a 28 year old who was raped multiple times by 3 men on the eve of January 26, 2020. The incident happened one night after coming home from a volunteer project to help the victims of a volcanic eruption in a province 70kms away from her city. She was violated and almost strangled to death when for unknown reasons, the perpetrators left her alone after 5 hours of violating and torturing her. These men she only knew by their names and faces. She was left with a broken nose and fractured lower rib. She needs our help for a second chance in life and to GET JUSTICE.

As of today, her family is looking to get a private attorney to carry on with the case. The state attorney that was provided to her was inefficient and not empathetic. But the family has no means to pay for the legal fees. Desiree is a Psychology undergrad, working during the day to pay for her school fees and taking night classes. Her family is in the lower middle class. The rapists came from families with powerful connections. Which made the victim feel hopeless. But she’s not giving up. And she needs your help.

Any excess of the funds we’ll be able to raise will be used for her therapy to recover from the trauma and for the reconstruction of her nose. Desiree is a beautiful woman, with a beautiful heart. Always helping both people and animals in need, volunteering in rescue missions for dogs and cats, volunteering at the home for the aged, and participating in feeding programs for street children. She definitely did not deserve what happened; no one does.

It’s been a while since we last saw her beautiful smile gracing her face. She just needs another chance in life. She needs us to get justice
