Be a miracle: Help to save our Papa Ramon

The pandemic has caused fear in many, but it is different when one of your loved ones is affected.

March 16, 2021 We rushed our father to the hospital because he lost consciousness early in the morning of March 16. He had fever, cough, diarrhea, high BP 160/100. He also had an Acute Coronary Syndrome which is associated to heart attack at the evening. Due to his condition he had to be admitted to the ICU but unfortunately there were no vacancies in nearby hospitals. By ambulance we went to all the hospitals from Calamba, Cabuyao, Sta. Rosa to Manila, we traveled from 7pm to 4am on March 17,2021. We repeatedly pleaded to the hospital staff, but they cannot do anything since all ICUs are full. While in the ambulance, we, together with our close friends called various hospitals, including hospitals from Los Banos, San Pablo, Batangas. Our father got to the point where he was tired and just wanted to go home. As a daughter, it was one of the most painful, to see our father in that situation. That feeling when you want to cry because you can't do anything. But you can't cry in front of him because you have to be strong. All I could say while inside the ambulance was, “I have faith, I have strong faith”. And God did not let us give up that faith, after 9 hours in the ambulance there was a vacancy in the ICU and my father was admitted. In the evening, March 17,2021 09:42 pm the result of the swab test came out and he tested positive for Covid.

Various things entered our minds, we were afraid for him and most of all we are sad because we will not be by his side to reassure him that everything is going to be okay. There are many sacrifices he wholeheartedly made for us. He is a good father and a good provider. My only prayer is to be given a chance to reciprocate that. I used to think, we have given everything, but we were wrong. We still have many shortcomings, and our responsibility to care for and love our parents will never end no matter what happens.

It was painful and sad that we could not afford all the hospital bills for our father. I know we are all affected by the pandemic, but we will have the courage to ask for help from those in good will. Your prayers and help will be greatly appreciated. Here is our information:
