Campaign Story
Join us in the International Movement to provide food supplies for families in Yemen during Ramadan 2019. The conflict is leaving 22 million Yemenis subject to famine with a child dying each 10 minutes due to malnutrition. YOU can help prevent a child's death by donating to provide food supplies. More than 1 million civilian suffered from cholera and the numbers will continue to rise. Be a part in ending the world's greatest humanitarian crisis.
Donations will be accepted from February until the end of April.
Momahedaat is a non-profit organization lead by Women. The goal of Momahedaat is to aware youth about international development and spreading justice. It will be working alongside Human Needs Social Organization in Yemen to make sure the food is distributed to families in need. The funds will be spent on providing food to the civilians during Ramadan 2019 by buying them from local sellers.
A food basket typically contains:
- A bag of 25 kg of flour
-A bag of 5 kg of rice
-A bag of 5 kg of sugar
-1.8 liters of cooking oil
Human Needs Social Organization is registered under (275/2016) and it is based in Sanaa, Yemen. Its purpose is to provide food, water, health supplies and education to people in need. It operates locally in Yemen.
Momahedaat has a business bank account with RBC in Canada. After collecting the funds, they will be transferred directly to International Bank of Yemen in Sanaa where the funds will be used to buy the supplies.
