Campaign Story
With a heavy heart, we are updating our campaign from medical & healing to funerals & tributes. Butch aka Florante Manay lost his battle to lung cancer, at the age of 56..With no life insurance, his family still needs your help for the hospital medical bills.
Butch a.k.a. Florante Manay Jr., 56, is a devoted husband to Elvie, a loving father to Paolo, Patricia, Steffanie, and Sarah, and a proud and cool grandpa to six lovely children ages 1-11 years old. Butch tirelessly ran his own copying and printing business for 35 years until big business forced him to close down a few years ago. Since then, it has been a struggle to find meaningful employment.
Nevertheless, family events and the joyful arrival of grandkids kept him preoccupied, until a few months ago, when Butch and his family found out that he has cancer. A chronic cough and lingering illness forced him to get tested. The finding: Metastatic Cancer, a cancer that has spread through the bloodstream or the lymph system. They were devastated! Tests are ongoing to determine the origin as this would help in determining the treatment plan.
In the meantime, his family prays together and reaches out to relatives and friends who may be willing to lend a hand. Expense for cancer treatment is prohibitive and with no viable source of income, Butch relies heavily on his immediate family for assistance. For this reason, they would appreciate any amount that you could donate toward providing their beloved grandfather, father, husband, son, and brother the best medical care possible. No amount is too little. Every cent counts.
